The Seton Hall women’s basketball program has a lot of fresh faces for this upcoming season. With that, the Pirates have freshman Ari Vidales, a five-foot-ten shooting guard looking to make her mark this year.

Vidales, hailing from Monterrey, Mexico and attended Life Prep Academy, where she played for the Mexican National Team. She had limited playing time in the Women's Americup Centrobasket averaging 0.6 PPG, 0.6 RPG, 0.4 APG.

Being a Freshman is going to be difficult in terms of earning playing time, but being a really solid player, Vidales can really improve and hone her skills and make solid plays when the time is right. The Pirates can use this non-conference league to make plays and develop their skills and as a team they can gain their confidence.

With the Pirates finishing the 2025-2026 season fourth in the Big East; they had a strong overall record of 23-10 and a conference record of 13-5. Despite not making the NCAA Tournament, the Pirates ended up playing in the WBIT tournament.

Coach Tony Bozella is known for his great relationships with the players and Vidales will likely be no different, quickly finding her at home at The Hall.

Vidales is one of five freshmen on this Pirates' team and is looking to be a great addition to the program this year in South Orange.
