The Seton Hall Pirates are coming off of a strong year in women’s basketball, with an experienced core remaining for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Among those returning is sophomore guard Ja’Kahla Craft, who is looking to make even more of a splash in her second year as a Pirate.

Craft, from Elk River, Minnesota, played 22 games off of the bench last season. She posted a solid offensive output across the year, averaging 2.1 points per game in 9.5 minutes played each outing.

The 5’9” guard put up season-high numbers against Marquette in January, notching ten points with five rebounds and two steals, helping the Pirates secure a 58-52 win. A few weeks later, she had another impressive run against Butler, putting up seven points and a single assist in a 71-48 victory.

Prior to her time at Seton Hall, Craft was an offensive force at St. Micheal-Albertville High School. Craft helped elevate her team to the Minnesota State Championship in 2023, notching a staggering 76-20 record during her three years of play. She averaged 26.8 points per game in her final year with the team.

With crucial guards and top scorers departing from the Hall, Craft will undoubtedly record more time on the court this year. She has an opportunity to step into a larger role within the team, and let her offensive prowess and frontcourt control shine for the Pirates.

Craft is one of multiple players remaining on the Seton Hall roster from last year. Stability is fleeting in college sports rosters, but the Pirates have a one-up on the competition with experienced players like Craft sticking around.
