Tim "Ripper" Owens Interview
WSOU sits down with Tip “Ripper” Owens to discuss his latest EP Return to Death Row. Return to Death Row sees Ripper return to his early thrash roots. He got his start as the singer of the thrash band Brainicide from Ohio. He explains that “The funny thing is the style that I sing on this record is still the same style that I always sing…you can sing the same and change the music and it becomes something totally different.” The EP was produced by Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed, who also contributed to the lyrics. When asked about the lyrical content of the EP, Ripper responded, “A lot of them are about life in general…you can write about anything when you have things in your life going on: personal matters, people screwing you over, life screwing you over.” Check out all this and more in WSOU’s interview with Tim “Ripper” Owens!
