NORTH HAMPTON COUNTY, PA- The Seton Hall Pirates (3-1-4) wrapped up their 2025 non-conference play after ending in a 1-1 draw with the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (2-3-2) on Sunday evening.

The game was a series of runs and was a very back and forth match. In the first half, it was the Pirates who had clear control of the game. Seton Hall totaled three shots, all of which came from Adria Kitzinger who missed the first two but was able to get the scoring started in the 21st minute.

Nina Davis crossed the ball into the box and Kitzinger was able to deflect the ball past the Lehigh goalkeeper to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead.

The Mountain Hawks would fail to score in this half, unable to convert as the only shot came in the 18th minute when Cathryn Cunningham took a shot that was saved by Kate Kleinsmith.

Coming out of the break, Lehigh displayed a lot more aggressiveness and were able to convert in the 58th minute of the game off a goal from Tori Okorodudu.

Things started to get tough for the Pirates as they would allow another great opportunity in the 64th minute of the match as Faith Dobosiewicz of Lehigh would launch a shot into the right corner of the goal, but Kleinsmith read it well to make the save. The Mountain Hawks recorded seven shots in this half.

The final 26 minutes of the game was very back and forth, as Lehigh got two more good looks at goal in the 74th and 85th minute, but neither would convert into the back of the net. For the Pirates, they would also get one more good look in the 79th minute from Kailey McCormick, but that shot would be saved.

The final would end up as 1-1, as each team’s lone goal was all that they could gather. With this draw, the Pirates now turn their attention to the Big East conference, where they will open up conference play on the road against Villanova next Saturday at 4 P.M.
