SOUTH ORANGE, N.J - The Seton Hall Pirates (7-2) return to historic Walsh Gymnasium for the eighth time this season to take on the Le Moyne Dolphins (0-9). This will mark the first ever matchup between these two teams.

With a schedule heavily favoring home matchups, Seton Hall has continued to show up and play their best; in the last two seasons, they have a combined record of 17-6 at home. Their last three games have been victories at home, and the team currently holds a point differential of +51. The Pirates look to extend their three-game winning streak against a winless Dolphins team looking to shock the blue and white.

When you look at performances within The Hall’s recent matchups, a name that continues to stick out on the stat sheet is Savannah Catalon. In the first six games of the season, she only had 20+ points once, in a nailbiter at Cincinnati.

But since then, she has been able to command the helm and hit the mark, especially in these last three wins; Catalon recently set a career high of 26 points against San Francisco on Dec. 2. Being teammates with Faith Masonius has helped Catalon expand her game as well as get her in open space, in which she shows her ability to pull from deep.

It's easy to talk about the production and strength from Catalon, but Masonius, the transfer from the University of Maryland, has also been a true game changer. You look up the definition of consistency, she shows up. She has 10 or more points in all but one game, but it isn't just about her ability to shoot.

She has shown what she is able to do for her teammates, averaging 3.4 assists a game, continuously posing as a threatening distributor regardless of her position on the court. Her vision to find other Pirates cutting into the lane or open at the three-point line has changed this team, helping everyone find their way onto the stat sheet.

The Dolphins are led by graduate student Haedyn Roberts, who had a career-high 23 points in the team’s recent 60-55 loss to Boston University. She was recently named an NEC Prime Performer, her third accolade of this title on the season so far.

Seton Hall’s defense has been prominent all season long, and continues to be arguably their brightest spot in every game. In five out of their nine games, they have been able to hold their opponents to 60 points or less, and that comes down to their ability to force turnovers. This is a team that on average forces 21.4 turnovers a game, and Le Moyne has given up 18.8 a game.

Get ready for an exciting game, as the Seton Hall Pirates are set for tip off tomorrow at 1:00 p.m, with AJ Rayer and CJ Weipz on the call.
