SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- The Seton Hall Pirates (16-8, 10-5 CONF) look to build off their recent victory in a Valentine’s Day showdown against the DePaul Blue Demons (6-20, 3-12 CONF) at the Historic Walsh Gym on Saturday.

Zahara Bishop exploded onto the scene on Wednesday with an impressive 20 point, six rebound performance against Marquette. Additionally, Mariana Valenzuela continued her dominant season with another 19-point performance, along with three assists and six rebounds.

Looking back to last season’s matchup against DePaul in Walsh Gym, Savannah Catalon was able to post a career-high 36 points in a Pirate victory.

The Blue Demons come into this year’s game 6-20 overall and 3-12 in BIG EAST play. A team that has been down on their luck this whole season looks to come into the Pirates’ house and upset them. On the other end, Seton Hall will be looking to complete the season sweep..

Kate Novik is a main player to look out for the Blue Demons, as she is averaging 12.3 points per game and 6.6 rebounds. She dropped 16 points on the Pirates when the two teams faced off in Chicago, along with Michelle Ojo, who scored 17 points on 6 of 10 shooting.

The Pirates have a lot to play for, as they currently hold the third seed in the conference and still look to make a push for the NCAA Tournament.

The Pirates can continue to keep things clicking for them like they were against Marquette, making sure everyone is doing their part.

Seton Hall looks to break the mold and make the big dance for the first time since 2015 and make a bid as the three seed in the BIG EAST.
