MILWAUKEE, WI. - After starting conference play red hot, winning four games straight then dropping a tough test vs Creighton, the Seton Hall women’s basketball team looks to get back on track heading on the road to face the Marquette Golden Eagles at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee. Despite the Pirates looking strong as of late, the Golden Eagles are nearly unbeatable at home this season, with an 8-1 record.

Seton Hall have not just been impressive to many, but have also overachieved previous expectations, thanks to standout players like Faith Masonius. Masonius has taken charge as a cornerstone piece to this lineup, while also being noticed around the nation. Of course, this is thanks to her incredible acrobatic reverse layup at the buzzer to put the Pirates over Villanova a few games ago.

The Pirates will continue to rely on a player like Masonius, who is someone who could really do it all. She is averaging 17.6 points while shooting a remarkable 49.4 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from three, and 88.1 percent from the line. On the other end, she is also getting 2.2 steals per game.

Another player for the Pirates that they’ll look to rely on is Jada Eads, who’s perfectly filled in the role of being able to hit shots consistently from beyond the arc after Savannah Catalon went down. Eads has been so valuable for this team thus far, shooting 36.6% from three-point range while averaging 14.1 points per game. Eads has found a huge role in Tony Bozzola’s lineup and took a significant stride in her first collegiate season that’s helped get them to where they are currently.

This will be another physical battle for the Pirates; it puts them in a difficult spot in terms of how they match up against a Marquette squad that rebounds the ball better than anyone in this conference. This will also test a Seton Hall team that lacks size and has struggled rebounding on both ends of the floor.

A player that could take over for the Golden Eagles, who the Pirates must look out for, is Skylar Forbes. The sophomore averages 15.8 points per game with 6.5 rebounds.

It will be another exciting game for the Pirates, as they face a tough Marquette team on the road. Don’t miss any of the action, as you can hear it all on WSOU 89.5 FM with pregame coverage beginning at 8:30. Jackson Shank and Patrick Corsello are on the call, as the game tips off at 9 p.m.
