This off-season, the Seton Hall Pirates’ recruiting and coaching staff got to work in order to prepare the 2025-26 roster. They were able to retain six players from last year’s team, bringing in three experienced transfers from the portal and welcomed five talented freshmen to make an impact on this revamped roster.

One of those new faces is looking to make a name for herself in the blue and white, and her name is Natalia Hall-Rosa.

The Randolph, Massachusetts native announced her commitment to play at Seton Hall University on September 21, 2024, well before her senior year. Hall-Rosa joins the Pirates after a highly successful high school career that saw her play for three different programs.

She began at Randolph High School, later transferred to Bridgewater Raynham, and eventually reclassified to the class of 2025 before making her final move to the Rivers School in Weston, Massachusetts.

Her high school accomplishments are extensive, including being a 1,000-point scorer, earning the 4Deep Sports Talk Player of the Year award, Taunton Daily Gazette Player of The Year, Three Time Boston Herald All-Star, and an All Scholastic Team selection. In addition, she has never averaged less than 14 points per game throughout her career.

In an article by author Jason Snow titled “Former B-R girls basketball star announces Division 1 commitment to BIG EAST,” Snow speaks to one of Hall-Rosa’s former teammates Reese Bartlett. She stated that the incoming freshman is “definitely a good person to be playing with on court at all times. Not just on offense but on defense too. She is always everywhere. Always intense. Good Teammate. Good Communicator. Good leader for everyone.”

Her former teammate’s words perfectly capture the kind of player that Seton Hall is getting: someone who brings leadership and effort on both ends of the floor. Known for her defensive intensity and setting up her teammates in the right places, it makes her a perfect addition to coach Bozzella's rotation.

Pirate fans saw glimpses of this in Seton Hall’s exhibition win against the Jefferson Rams where she played 12 minutes. She did not score, but crashed the boards and recorded three rebounds and dished out three assists as well.

The Seton Hall Pirates open their season Tuesday, November 4 in Historic Walsh Gymnasium when they welcome the Saint Peter’s Peacocks. Chris Heite and Christian Oliveri will be on the call.

Pirate fans should make sure to keep an eye out for Natalia Hall-Rosa this season, as she looks to be a very valuable player for this Pirate team, and make an immediate impact.
