On May 5, 2025, Head Coach Tony Bozzella announced that Jada Snow, a standout player from Bear, Delaware, would be joining the Seton Hall Pirates for the 2025-26 season.
Snow is not just any freshman. She has received exceptionally high praise, including from Aaron Williams, author of “High School Girls’ Basketball: Best Player in all 50 states heading into the 2023-24 season”, who recognized her as the best player in Delaware at the time.
Snow also has a connection to Seton Hall already, as she attended Sanford High School, the same school as one of the greatest players in Seton Hall Women’s basketball history, Lauren Park-Lane.
Snow helped lead Sanford to the 2023 DIAA Girls Basketball State Championship, where she dropped 13 points and 7 rebounds in the championship game. She was a three-time First Team All-State and All-Conference selection, three-year team captain, and surpassed one thousand points in her high school career.
Transitioning to college, Snow is already off to a good start, earning the week five “Iron Pirate”, which is an award given to the player of the week that led by example and has shown up consistently on and off of the court.
Something that makes Snow special is that she can play any position. In an article by Lakyn Austin of the Setonian, Coach Bozzella spoke about Snow’s amazing versatility. He stated “we can use her as a three, four, or even a short five if we must.”
He also added that “she gets better every day, she’s a great listener, and has a great feel for the game.”
With the departures of several players from last year’s team due to graduation, Snow has an opportunity to make an immediate impact.
The Pirates will take on the Jefferson Rams at Historic Walsh Gymnasium on Thursday, October 30 at 7:00 P.M. in an exhibition game, where Caitlin Barrar and Anthony Collins will be on the call. Seton Hall fans should keep an eye on the promising freshman, as the 2025-26 season will mark the beginning of what could be a strong Pirates career.
