WSOU Receives Marconi Award Nomination For Best College Radio Station

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - For the second straight year, WSOU in South Orange has been nominated for a Marconi Award for Best College Radio Station.

WSOU earned the same nomination last year but lost to WRHU-FM of Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. The station last won a Marconi Award in 2023. This year’s Marconi Radio Awards ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. E.T. at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.

Since 1948, WSOU 89.5 FM has served the Seton Hall and tristate communities with music, news, and sports coverage. For more than 40 years, the station has been known for being home to the loudest rock and heavy metal music - a signature sound that continues to define WSOU today.
