Recap:
The Jets clobbered Aaron Rodgers and the Packers on Sunday by a score of 27-10. This victory moved the Jets to 4-2, their best start to a season in years.
Breece Hall continued to impress, and it’s important to note that his carries have now gone up significantly. He had 20 rushes for 116 yards and a touchdown against the Packers. Many fans have already checked him off as a future superstar running back, and he’s a strong contender to win offensive rookie of the year.

Speaking of rookies, Sauce Gardner has been on fire. He’s allowed a 19.0 passer rating this year while in single coverage, the best rating in the league, and he’s already proving to be one of the best cornerbacks that the NFL has to offer. Jets fans have long missed having a shutdown corner like Darelle Revis, but Gardner seems to finally be the guy to take the reins.
Gardner was seen parading around Lambeau field wearing the infamous “cheese head” to celebrate the win in hostile fashion. He may have been a bit cocky with his celebration, but that’s the kind of swagger he brings onto the field.
He is brash and in your face, but he backs it up every time. Packers’ wide receiver Allen Lazard saw Gardner wearing the cheese head and knocked it off him before running to the locker room.
The Jets have been underdogs in all six of their games thus far but have managed to win four of them. They have clearly improved on both sides of the ball and it’s safe to say that they are no longer a pushover in the NFL.
Preview:
The Jets look to improve to 5-2 as they head to Denver to take on the Broncos. Following Monday night’s 19-16 loss against the Chargers, it appears Russell Wilson has suffered a hamstring injury, and his status for Sunday is in the air.
The 2-4 Broncos have been a huge letdown this season: Russ has failed to cook, and the coaching decisions of Nathaniel Hackett have been extremely questionable. Denver now faces the brink of a lost season and must play a Jets team that’s riding at an all-time high.
Led by rookies Breece Hall and Sauce Gardener, the Jets have played brilliant football since their starting quarterback Zach Wilson has returned. He is 3-0 this season as the starter. The strength of this team lies in the secondary, defensive line, and its run game.

Expect the secondary led by Gardner and another stud in DJ Reed to blanket the Broncos’ receivers. With Javonte Williams out for the year, Denver will be tasked with beating the Jets on the ground, the same as the packers were, and we all know how that went.
Regardless of the QB under center for the Broncos on Sunday, I expect a Jets victory. If they continue to run the ball against a Denver defense that is allowing 130 rushing yards in their last three games, and the defense pressures the QB, I think this game will be over before it’s even started.
Expect Breece Hall and company to have a phenomenal game once again, with the Jets cruising to victory and improving to 5-2, putting themselves in a great position to be in the playoff picture come December.
Prediction:
21-13, Jets.
