Date: July 23, 2015

This year has been a great year already for Storming the Ramparts themed epic metal, with Nekrogoblikon, Powerwolf, Helloween, Symphony X, Native Construct, and much much more, all dropping great albums, but the rest of the year is going to get that much better -- and heavier.

First off, Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum are going on tour with one another, so they are releasing a small split with each other to kick that off, which comes out on August 9th. After that Rivers of Nihil and Nile are both releasing albums in late August, which makes the Nile drummer George Kolias a very busy man as he just released a solo album. The most interesting album in August, I think, is the Myrkur album "M". I do not necessarily think it'll be the best, but the concept of a one woman black metal band has not been done before and she kills it on the tracks released so far, so definitely stay tuned for that.

I might be stepping on Vintage 80's toes with this one, but the new Iron Maiden album "Book of Souls" is set to drop in September and I really do not think that needs an introduction. And then, maybe one of the most anticipated melodeath albums drops in October, with "I Worship Chaos" by Children of Bodom.

There is a whole lot more getting released towards the end of the year, and a lot of it is Storming the Ramparts material, but those are the ones I really cannot wait for.
