Lauren Park-Lane continued her dominance following up a career-high 37-point performance, with a game-high 23 points and nine assists as she continues to be the biggest catalyst for the team.
Seton Hall needed to win by eight in order to be crowned champions over the undefeated Georgia Bulldogs, but the Pirates still have a lot of confidence after knocking off an undefeated team at a neutral site.
There were over 10 lead changes in the first half alone in a game that saw both teams going toe-to-toe with each other. There was only one double-digit lead throughout the entire course of that game, and it was actually by Georgia.
Seton Hall led 43-40 at the half, but by the time the fourth quarter started, they were down by four with a score of 65-61. The Pirates went on to outscore the Bulldogs 25-15 in the fourth to seal the win.
The Pirates were firing on all cylinders Saturday, as they shot 10-20 from three and 33-56 (58.9%) from the field. LPL hit five threes of her own to add to The Hall’s impressive night from distance. Sidney Cooks also poured in 18 of her own, making over half her shots.

Diamond Battles added 22 points herself for Georgia, but it was not enough for the Bulldogs to pull away with the win. Brittney Smith also had 18 points in the loss.
The unsung hero for Seton Hall today was Amari Smith who was an absolute menace on the defensive side of the basketball. She totaled just six points but had six steals, five assists, and three rebounds as well, impacting the game in every aspect.
Despite the win, Seton Hall was outrebounded 35-to-21 and allowed Georgia 13 offensive rebounds, which has been an unfortunate recurring theme for the Pirates.
They’ll need to clean up their work on the boards if they want to beat Xavier and Marquette, the two BIG EAST rivals they face in their next two games. They’ll be back in action Friday, December 2nd at 7 p.m. EST in Cincinnati against the Xavier Musketeers, where Chris Kiely and Jackson Shank will have the call.
