The Pirates were coming off a tough loss in Omaha to the No. 5 Creighton Bluejays on Friday, November 15th, where their three-game win streak was snapped. Additionally, Marquette have not lost a conference game to any other team besides the Bluejays, holding a 14-2 conference record.
