WSOU to Begin Airing Band Interviews from South by Southwest
Date: March 31, 2015South Orange, N.J. –Beginning March 31 and continuing through April 10, 2015, WSOU 89.5 FM will air at 5 p.m.band and artist interviews conducted by Seton Hall University students at the world-renowned South by Southwest Music Festival. Conversations with members of Norma Jean, Veil of Maya, Fallujah, Harms Way and other metal and hardcore bands are among the interviews to be aired.
The interviews highlight each band's SXSW experience, new albums, tours and the future of metal and loud rock music. In addition to the daily 5 p.m.airing, the interviews will be rebroadcast the following morning at 8 a.m.and available online on this very website!
Some of the interviews took place in conjunction with an official South by Southwest Showcase co-presented by WSOU and the metal blog Metalsucks. "Co-presenting our SXSW show with Metalsucks helped us out a lot," says WSOU promotion director Rohit Ravi. "Our presence raised awareness of WSOU and we were able to sit down and talk with all the national touring bands that played the Metalsucks/WSOU showcase."
