NEMHF Exclusive Interview: Suburban Scum

Date: May 14, 2015

Day 4's interview is with Carebear of Suburban Scum! Ryan asks him about playing NEMHF, touring, , and a lot more!

On touring and South by So What:"We're on tour with rotting out, expire, bent life, and misery. You go from playing this VFW, this bar, this little hall, anything from one hundred-fifty to three hundred cap. In the last day of the tour, we pull up to a baseball field and they go "You're gonna play with Emmure and Hatebreed on this baseball field how do you feel about that?" Alright sick... it was cool. That's another thing, I hate the hardcore elitest attitude where certain bands think they're too good to play something..."

Below the excerpts is the full audio version.

on the band's first full length album:

"There's not one song, I feel, that sounds the same. If you're into metal, there's a song for you. If you're into bouncier hardcore, there's a song for you. If you like older scum stuff, there's a song for you. We took two years writing it. We really took our time, we were touring and playing it a bunch in between it. And not touring as much as we'd like to, but still constantly playing shows, and it came together sick... We're excited about it, ultimate annihilation, summer 2015, closed casket activities."
