WSOU's Thank God For Monday Offers Programming for Stressed Out Workers

Date: March 26, 2015

South Orange, N.J. – In conjunction with Stress Awareness Month (April 2015), WSOU's Thank God For Monday offers a series of conversations about managing workplace stress. The series focuses on practical advice for dealing with stressful and frustrating work and school situations.

"American workers and students are more stressed than ever, so it is critical that people have the tools necessary to manage stress," says Thank God For Monday host Brother Greg Cellini. "It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the pressures and demands of today's work environments, so our contribution to Stress Awareness Month is to examine ways to reduce stress and make work more meaningful."

Thank God For Monday airs Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. on 89.5 FM WSOU. Brother Greg's guests for the series on stress include:

·April 4: Mary Beth Wisniewski talks about how college students can better recognize and cope with stress. A counselor at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI, Ms. Wisniewski is an expert on the unique types of stresses students face in and out of the classroom.

·April 11: Brian Wisowaty, a producer at MSNBC and a 2011 graduate of Seton Hall, discusses ways recent college graduates can deal with stress on the job and the challenges that come with transitioning to "the real world."

·April 18: In honor of Administrative Professionals Day on April 22, Brother Greg speaks with Brenda Knight, an experienced executive assistant and currently secretary to the Dean of College of Arts &Sciences at Seton Hall University. Ms. Knight addresses the critical role administrative assistants play in organizations, as well as the stresses that come with the job.

·April 25: Dr. Jude Uy explores how working adults can effectively recognize the causes of their workplace stress and the steps individuals can all take to reduce the amount of on the job stress they encounter.
