SHU Summer Baseball Update: July 6th

With it being Fourth of July week, many Seton Hall players celebrated appropriately by providing plenty of fireworks during their games in summer league action across the country. Here is the best of what they've done over the past week.

Liam McArthur has gotten off to a hot start with the Ocean State Waves of the NECBL, gathering three hits and an RBI in a 14-1 demolition of the Danbury Westerners last Tuesday. As of Monday, he is hitting .318 in 12 games played. After Mike Alescio got off to a slow start, he has picked up a hit in each of his last five games and is hitting .300 (6 for 20) over that span. Ryan Ramiz is also have success this summer, hitting .333 with three RBI's in 11 games as of Monday.

Rob Dadona maintained his high level of play with the Staten Island Tide. Two RBI singles for Dadona helped his team to victory last Wednesday against the North Jersey Eagles, and how sports a .333 batting average for the season.

Christian Del Castillo found production this past week, collecting his first RBI for the South Florida Huskies last Saturday. Finally, Dylan Verdonk threw 2.2 scoreless innings last Tuesday against the Front Royal Cardinals, allowing one hit and striking out three. Verdonk is now second on his team with a 2.57 ERA.
