The Pirates of Seton Hall took home another conference home victory, this time over the St. John's Red Storm in three sets.

The first set was no walk in the park for the Pirates, who trailed for the majority of the set, but were able to come back and tie it up. From there, the two teams found themselves tied up at 23 and in a win by two scenario. Both teams brought it to set point, however it was Seton Hall who prevailed and took set one by a score of 28-26.

The Pirates took the momentum into the second set, where they had control throughout and dominated on the offensive and defensive sides. With some crafty plays from Sarah Kenneweg and Haylee Gasser, the team's intensity carried throughout. Seton Hall went into the break with a 2-0 lead after a 25-18 second set victory.

In the third set, both teams came out playing tough, however the Pirates didn't lose momentum from the break. They continued to hold the lead throughout with no lead changes and won the set 25-18 to take the match.

"We were in system a lot which was really good," Head Coach Allison Yaeger said after the game. "We were able to distribute the ball a ton. Everybody put balls away for us."

The Pirates will now take to the road where they face Providence on October 20 at 7 p.m.
