Seton Hall Drops Final Non-Conference Game

Date: September 20, 2017

By: Keith Egan

The Pirates fell on the road at Lehigh in their last game before Big East play by a score of 3-1.

The Pirates had trouble right away, not being able to put many shots on goal, which stayed about the same throughout the game. Lehigh, on the other hand, came out more aggressive and found their first goal off a rebound shot in the 10th minute.

The second goal came just over 20 minutes later when Doyle Tuvesson of the Eagles scored in the 32nd minute. Lehigh took that 2-0 lead into halftime.

After the half, Seton Hall played much more aggressively, however it resulted in more fouls. Eventually, however, it paid off for the Hall as a header from Gabriel Viola in the 67th minute made it a 2-1 score.

Seton Hall was clawing their way back into it, but Lehigh was not done offensively. Tommy Docho of Lehigh put the Eagles' third goal of the game on the board about eight minutes after the Pirates goal, taking the 3-1 lead.

Lehigh was able to maintain the lead until the end, as the Pirates lost in a game they were only able to put three shots on goal.

Seton Hall will resume Big East Play at Marquette on Saturday at 8:00 pm.
