Coming back after a 16-hour time out, the Pirates took down Providence 89-77 inside Alumni Hall on the campus of Providence College.

Both teams returned to play the final 13:03 of last night's game after officials suspended the game due to unsafe playing conditions on the court. The Pirates started off slowly after the restart, allowing the Friars to go on a 11-1 run that would cut the Pirate lead to just one. It was Myles Powell and Khadeen Carrington who ultimately ended the Friars offensive drive and pushed the Hall's offensive game, as the Pirates would outscore the Friars 30-19 down the stretch to secure the 12 point victory.

Carrington ended up finishing the game with 25 points, three rebounds and was 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Powell had 20 points and four assists in the game, while Angel Delgado picked up his 69th career double-double. Myles Cale also started in this 13-minute continuation, replacing the injured Desi Rodriguez. He was able to score eight points throughout both portions of the game. After the game, Kevin Willard said that Rodriguez will not suit up for Saturday's matchup with St. John's at Madison Square Garden, however they will try to have him back in time for next Wednesday's showdown with Villanova.

That game against St. John's will tip-off at 12 p.m. as the Pirates look to extend their winning streak to three games. Coverage of the game begins on 89.5 FM WSOU beginning at 11:30 a.m.
