The Pirates came out strong as the men's soccer team won 3-0 against Sacred Heart on Monday night.

Sacred Heart picked up momentum as the half went on, but was stopped by freshman goalie Elliot Munford. In the 39th minute, Seton Hall's Gabriel Viola knocked in his first goal of the season off an assist from Prata to give the Pirates a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Seton Hall picked up where they left off in the second half by almost scoring on a header by Marco Neves that went wide in the 48th minute. The Pioneers had their best look to make it a 2-1 game in the 70th minute, but Riley Sullivan's shot hit off the crossbar.

The Pirates' third goal of the game came in the 72nd minute when Jonathan Jimenez blasted his first goal of the season into the far corner of the goal off an assist from Viola. All three of the Pirates' scorers notched their first goals of the season as the team now improves to 1-2-1 on the season.
