Seton Hall
New Music 9/7
Date: September 7, 2015Here is the new music for this week:
Iron Maiden - Tears of a Clown
The
Iron Maiden album is finally here! For being as seasoned as they are,
it is amazing how can they can release a double album and still have no
filler at all. They're about to embark on their world tour on their own
plane, the Ed Force One, with Bruce Dickinson piloting it for the whole
tour.
RIYL: Iron maidenNile - Negating the Abominable Coils of Apep
One
of the most popular death metal bands right now. All their songs are
about Egyptian history, and this album takes that to the next step. They
also said their last album was too "Clean" so they tried to make this
as heavy as possible.
RIYL: Kataklysm, Suffocation, Hate EternalSevendust - Not Today
Sevendust
is dropping its second single about a month before the release of their
highly anticipated album, "Kill the Flaw." One of the biggest "WSOU
bands" that we broke when they first started in this scene.
RIYL: Mudvayne, Nonpoint, Korn
Hemlock - Revolution
A
really groovy band that has been around since the 90s and has toured
with some of the bigger names in its genre (Lamb of God, DevilDriver,
Chimaira, etc) a bunch.
RIYL: DevilDriver, Chimaira, Shadow Fall
Masters of Metal - Tomb of Ra
I
could have sworn this was an 80s thrash song when I heard it. I
honestly still think it is, it just took forever for this band to
release the album. There's also a lot of NWOBHM vibes on this track so
if you like that era of music, you'll love this.
RIY: Overkill, annihilator, Anthrax
Aftermath - A Temptation to Overthrow
An
old school late 80s/90s crossover band that had a cult following and is
re-recording a lot of its old demos and albums that got lost as the
years went on. Most crossover bands list them as the pioneers of the
movement.
RIYL: DRI, Iron Reagan, Municipal Waste
As always, if you see something you like, request it!
