WSOU

New Music 9/21

Date: September 21, 2015
Along with this there's new songs by Parkway Drive and The Black Dahlia Murder!

Children of Bodom - I Hurt
The upcoming CoB album is one of the most anticipated albums in the fall of this year. They should be touring shortly after, and they're still one guitarist down as Alexi is handling all guitar and vocal duties now.
RIYL: Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquility, Wintersun

Born of Osiris - Resilience

Coming off of Summer Slaughter and their 2013 release ofTomorrow we Die Alive, BoO have never had more steam than they have right now. This is their socond and the much heavier of the singles that they have released from the forthcoming album.
RIYL: Bring me the Horizon, Veil of Maya, After the Burial

Devil You Know - Stay of Execution
The second album by ex-Killswitch Engage frontman Howard Jones. Honestly the heaviest Howard song I've heard since his Blood Has Been Shed days. He said he was going to make this a lot heavier than their 2014 release so I'm expecting a lot from this album.
RIYL: Killswitch Engage, Blood Has Been Shed, As I Lay Dying

40 Below Summer - Snake Charmer
Starting off as a Street Patrol band, 40 Below were one of the bigger bands for WSOU in the early 2000s until they took their hiatus. They came back with an album in 2013, and this is a follow up for this. There's also a cover of Cry My a River by Justin Timberlake on this album which is very interesting.
RIYL: Nothingface, Korn, SevenDust

Huntress - Flesh
A lot more power-y than what we're used to from Huntress. They're about to head on the Motorboat with Motorhead and a bunch of other bands later this month.
RIYL: ReVamp, Holy Grail, Butcher Babies

Haste the Day - Take
Really heavy Christian metallic hardcore from Haste the Day. I don't think I have ever heard them this heavy, so hearing this was a pleasant surprise.
RIYL: August Burns Red, Phinehas, War of Ages

Dynfari - Hafsjor
Atmospheric black metal in the same vein as So Hideous and Deafheaven. They're also from Iceland which isn't the home to too many big metal bands.
RIYL: So Hideous, Deafheaven, Downfall of Gaia

If you see something you like, request it! We want to play what you want to hear!
