Seton Hall
New Music for 6/22/15
Date: June 22, 2015Here's the first batch of new music for the summer of 2015!
Lamb of God - 512
Lamb of God - 512
New
Lamb of God song, this is also about his time in prison in the Czech
Republic, as 512 was his cell number. From the two songs released, this
album already sounds monstrous and will probably be the biggest album of
the summer, as far as metal bands go.
RIYL: Lamb of God (I'm guessing you know who they are by now)
Pro-Pain - Righteous Annihilation
Old-school
New York Hardcore. Like most other NYHC bands, they continue to defy
age and continue to churn out records quicker than bands 20 years
younger to them.
RIYL: Biohazard, Sworn Enemy, Crumb Suckers
Rest Among Ruins - Before You Speak
This
singer used to be in The HAARP Machine until the guitarist (allegedly)
threatened to burn one of the band members house down and everyone quit,
except for the guitarist (I take that as a decent reason to quit a
band). Sucks, because the one album that they put out was absolutely
killer, but this is pretty close to it. He also sang for Intervals for a
little bit.
RIYL: The HAARP Machine, Intervals, Periphery
Gatherers - God Deluxe
Pretty
mathy post-hardcore from Bayonne, New Jersey. They're about to head on
tour with Every Time I Die and Real Friends, which comes to the Starland
Ballroom so make sure to check them out when they come around!
RIYL: My Iron Lung, Touche Amore, The Used
Eskimo Callboy - Monsters
I
don't know what it is about Germany, but they love to release
electronic infused metal. First Rammstein and We Butter the Bread with
Butter and now this. If you like those two, you'll probably love this.
RIYL: We Butter the Bread with Butter, The Browning, Winds of Plague
Wilson - All My Friends
This
honestly sounds like Pantera worship, which isn't a bad thing. Real
groovy riffs with some southern rock/metal vocals in the background. If
you liked anything to come out of the NWOAHM movement, this'll be right
up your alley.
RIYL: Pantera, Helmet, Corrosion of Conformity
As always, WSOU loves playing new music, expect to hear these tracks and more on 89.5 FM!
