New Music for 5-18-15

Date: May 18, 2015
Lamb of God - Still Echoes
...They're Back! This probably does not need too much of an introduction. Lamb of God is probably one of the biggest bands in heavy music today, and their singer, Randy Blythe is easily the busiest, with his track on the new Teenage Time Killers album, his book, his paintings and obviously an upcoming Lamb of God tour hitting the area in August.
RIYL: Lamb of God

Coal Chamber - Over My Head
...They're Back (in new music!) If you liked the last single they put out (I.O.U. Nothing) you'll love this. It is their first album since 2002 and with their singer, Dez, focusing on DevilDriver more, you can hear a lot more DevilDriver influences than before.
RIYL: DevilDriver, Static X, Sevendust

Tau Cross - Fire in the Sky
A combination of some established Punk/metal groups (Amebix and Voivod mainly). They also borrow a lot of sounds from Stoner groups as well and it makes for a really unique combination. The singer also sounds just like Lemmy from Motorhead
RIYL: Motorhead, Voivod, Nuerosis

Entrails - Beyond The Flesh
A death metal band that formed in 1991, but never released an album until 2009. Ever since then they've been super active, though. They're heavier than your traditional Swedish Death Metal band, but they still have a lot of melody and groove to them.
RIYL: At the Gates, Entombed, Dismember

Maruta - Hope Smasher
A really cool deathgrind band that borrows enough from both genres that people who like both will like them. This album also features vocals from At the Gates' Tomas Lindberg and Pig Destroyer's J.R. Hayes.
RIYL: Nails, Napalm Death, Misery Index

Expect to hear these tracks this week! We're always excited to get new music. You can hear all this and more only here at 89.5 FM WSOU!
