Native Construct Interview

Date: August 18, 2015

Rohit interviewed Miles from Native Construct! The two talk about how the band debuted on Metal Blade Records, the history of the band and more!

Below these excerpts is a full audio version.

On having their debut album on Metal Blade Records:

"Well it happened recently, because we recorded part of our album with Jamie King in North Carolina, who is a great metal producer who has worked with a lot of modern metal bands, and on his management team is Tommy Rogers, the vocalist of Between the Buried and Me. Tommy heard the music and liked it enough to do a very generous favor, of helping us shop the album out to labels. He got us in contact with Metal Blade Records and we were album to work out a deal."

On the formation of the band:

"So the band started in fall of 2011, when we all started college at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Most of us met there, and we started to jam there just as new Berklee students do... We sort of decided to work on this project on and off, just on the side while we pursued our studies. So it was kind of something that was put on the back burner a lot, over the years... We realized we have something good here, and we are now focusing on it much more primarily."

WSOU would like to thank Myles for the interview. If you're looking for a review of Native Construct's debut, you can find it here!
