The final soccer matches at Owen T. Carroll Field of the fall await, with a Saturday night men's soccer showdown between Seton Hall and No. 24 Marquette, which sits in sixth place in the Big East standings, just a point ahead of the Pirates. With the top six in the conference reaching the Big East Championships and only two matches left for SHU, the home finale on Saturday presents a major opportunity for the Pirates (4-7-4), who are currently 1-4-2 in conference play.

Seton Hall is coming off its second Big East scoreless draw of the season as the Pirates pulled out a point at Butler on Wednesday. The Bulldogs, along with DePaul, both sit in a tie for seventh with the blue and white at five points. Despite being ranked in the top 25, Marquette (7-5-3)is 1-3-3 in league play. The duo of seniors Kai Greene and Victor Manosalvas has been the key for SHU, as both have five goals on the season and two assists apiece. Sophomore Sam Geiler has a goal and four assists, giving him six points behind the two veterans. The Pirates' attackers have to be ready to face the third-best defense in the conference. The Golden Eagles are only allowing 0.60goals per game compared to The Hall's Big East low 1.60.

Match time is slated for 7 p.m. on WSOU.net as the Pirates can hop into sixth place with a victory with one game to play, a Thursday, Nov. 6 match at rival St. John's.

The weekend kicks off on Friday night when 3-9-5 Seton Hall WSOC plays host to No. 24 Georgetown on Friday night at 7 p.m. onWSOU.net.
