Jungle Rot Interview

Brendan got the chance to interview Dave and Jeff from the band Jungle Rot on their success, their beginnings as a band and their new single Paralyzed Prey.

On the success of their band over 20 + years.

Dave - "For me its a few things, the biggest thing is that is a huge part of my life. Its my Identity its hard to see my self doing any thing else. It's made me who I am. Secondly its always the fans and we've been touring for so many years, we've met some many good fans and that helps so much more when you come there and your welcome and you see the good faces and its always a treat..."

Jeff - "Also, I've only been in the band for 10- 11 years, and I feel the same way I can't imagine adding another 9 years to it just becomes your identity, its the only thing we have time for..."

Dave - "The momentum of our work helps us move forward..."

On What brought the Band together from their Wisconsin roots.

Dave - "Its a good question, It just happened I just found my self in the band and there has always been an underground movement in Wisconsin and Milwaukee found the punk scene in the early 80's and that gave me a taste of the underground. I was excited by the underground movement and I think in my era it was speed and thrash metal and it evolved into Death metal when it was my time to play" ... "we had The Milwaukee metal feast was at one time the only feast in the US that mattered at one point and we imagine we and a lot of other bands launched our careers from that festival..."

The reception to their new album "Order Shall Prevail."

Jeff - "I haven't read anything bad about it, every body loves Paralyzed Prey, its the one that we didn't think anyone would like. Our producer said "that's the song" and our label wanted to shoot a music video for. its got's that crushing riff in the beginning..."

Dave - "I think its going over really well, because every day I play I see a lot of people singing it, so it must of hooked them one way or another..."
