Geoff Rickly Turns Wednesday into Thursday at WSOU

Date: December 13, 2017

Geoff Rickly

WSOU’s listeners received a lunch hour holiday treat on Wednesday, Dec. 13 as Thursday’s lead vocalist Geoff Rickly took over the 89.5 airwaves.  During his noon to 1 p.m. appearance with DJ Doug Woolever, Rickly selected songs, discussed the post-hardcore band’s current projects, and shared his experiences as a star-struck high school intern at a recording studio when Anthrax walked through the door.

“Given Thursday’s Garden State beginnings, it’s fitting that Geoff dropped by to share some holiday cheer with our listeners,” said Program Director Garren Lewis. “WSOU was one of the first radio stations to play their music and it is always a lot of fun to have a Thursday band member on our air.”

Rickly also spoke about the most difficult album he ever had to write, how the band broke up and then reunited, and his New Jersey roots.  Thursday will perform December 30th at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J. as part of the WSOU “Wreck the Halls” December concert series.
