Seton Hall Baseball (23-23, 7-6) will play a doubleheader against the Georgetown Hoyas (19-31, 5-8) at Jack Kaiser Stadium in Queens, New York on Saturday.

The Pirates pulled out a dramatic, 6-5 win over the Hoyas in 10 innings on Friday, with Sebastiano Santorelli delivering a walk-off RBI single. With the victory, the Pirates finished the game in third place in the Big East Conference, just 2.5 games back of Creighton for first. With the loss, Georgetown remains on the outside looking in regarding the Big East Tournament’s fourth seed.

Noah Thompson and Nick Morreale will be on the hill for the Pirates and Hoyas, respectively, in the first game. Thompson enters the ballgame with a 3-2 record and a 5.01 ERA. Though he ended up with a no-decision, Thompson pitched quite well in his last outing against Xavier on May 3. He surrendered two earned runs on four hits over six innings of work, and the Pirates went on to win the game 11-3. Morreale took the loss in his last outing against Creighton that same day. He allowed nine runs (seven of them earned) on six hits and five walks in just four innings of work as the Hoyas dropped the game 14-2.

The second game will feature a pitching matchup of David Festa and Jack Cushing. Festa sits at 2-3 with a 4.26 ERA, while Cushing holds a 4-4 record with a 3.02 ERA. Both pitchers lost in their last start on May 4. Festa gave up three earned runs on three hits and four walks in 3.1 innings, while Cushing allowed seven runs (six of them earned) on nine hits and one walk over five innings.

WSOU 89.5 FM will have pregame coverage with Dalton Allison and Ronny Castaneda beginning at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, while Frank Frasco and Chris Russo will be on the call from Queens.
