Norwich City v. Southampton

3-0 Southampton- A battle between two sides in the relegation turned into a clear Southampton victory, which basically secures them safety. Southampton took over the match shortly after halftime. In the 49th minute the Southampton attack found Danny Ings, on a back-cut run, who perfectly placed the ball into the goal past a diving Tim Krul.

The Saints continued to breakdown the soft Norwich defense as in the 54th minute when Stuart Armstrong took a shot from outside the box which snuck past Krul. Southampton then secured the win in the 79th minute as Nathan Redmond snuck past a defender and placed a ball right past Krul’s outstretched arm.

Tottenham v. Manchester United

1-1- Both Spurs and United came into this match looking to try and stay into the top four race. The match took up a typical Mournho style as Spurs sat back and soaked up pressure and looked to counter. This worked early for Spurs as they were able to get a through ball to Steven Bergwijn who powered a shot past keeper David de Gea.

The game changed in favor of United once Paul Pogba checked in. Pogba was able to break down the Spurs defense and force Eric Dier to concede a penalty. Bruno Fernandes stepped up to the spot and slotted the penalty home which evened up the score and led to both sides sharing the points.

Watford v. Leicester City

1-1- Leicester came into the match in third place while Watford was looking to try and distance themselves from the relegation zone. The match started off slow with few chances coming in the first half, but the game got hectic in the second. Both teams traded good chances in the second half and the score line was broken in the 90th minute. Leiceter’s Ben Chilwell shot a rocket that flew past Watford’s keeper into the top right corner of the goal. Although it seemed to be the winner just three minutes later Watford secured a share of the points after Ben Dawson scored a bicycle kick off a corner.

2-1 Brighton- Arsenal traveled to Brighton, struggling to stay in the race for European soccer. While Brighton was trying to stay out of the relegation zone. Arsenal caught a rough break as their keeper Bernd Leno got injured after a collision with Neal Mupay, in which Leno landed awkwardly. He had to be taken off the pitch on a stretcher. Arsenal did not let this demoralize them, as in the 68th minute.

Nicolas Pepe scored a beautiful goal as he curled it right past the post and under the bar to give the Gunners a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately for Arsenal, they capitalized soon after this as they let in a soft goal when Lewis Dunk tapped in a put back in the 75th minute. It looked to be a draw, but Brighton had one last goal up its sleeve as Mupay snuck past the Arsenal back line and had an easy shot on goal that he buried in the final kick of the game in the 95th minute.

Wolves v. West Ham

2-0 Wolves- Adam Traore’s 64th minute substitution sealed the Hammers fate when he helped Wolves completely take over the game. Early on in the 14th minute of play, Pablo Fornals made a superb run into space and received a long ball. Unfortunately, he failed to convert on the chance, something that has been the story of West Ham all season. For Wolves, however, they were not able to fully gain control of the game until Adama Traore was subbed on in the 64th minute of action.

Shortly thereafter, Traore had the ball to the right side outside the box and sent in a beautifully placed cross in which Raul Jimenez headed into the goal. Wolves then stuck again in the 84th minute when Matt Doherty put in a cross that Raul Jimenez volleyed into the goal at a speed in which no keeper in the world could have stopped.

Bournemouth v. Crystal Palace

2-0 Crystal Palace- AFC Bournemouth came into this game needing a point to get out of the relegation zone, while Crystal Palace was stuck in the middle of the table. Chelsea then flexed their muscles two minutes later when Olivier Giroud took a shot which deflected off a Villa player and into the net, giving Chelsea the lead and subsequent victory.

Liverpool v. Everton

0-0-The 236th Merseyside Derby was not as eventful as previous ones. Liverpool could not clinch the title during this game, but a victory would have gotten them one step closer to securing their first top flight trophy in 30 years.  The game between long-time rivals was a bit chippy with Everton’s Richarlison getting bounced around by the Liverpool team.

Richarlison had a chance to break the deadlock in the 61st minute, but skied the shot which kept it level. Dominic Calvert-Lewin then almost gave Everton the lead in the 80th  minute, but his back-heel shot was pushed away by the arms of keeper Alisson. Neither team was able to find a winner in the final minutes of action.

Manchester City v. Burnley

5-0 Man City- The defending champions came out hot once again as they were able to break down the Burnley defense to put up five goals. The first came from youngster Phil Foden scored from outside the box as he sweetly placed the ball past keeper Nick Pope’s arm in the 22nd minute. City then came back to score right before halftime as Riyad Mahrez controlled a long ball and danced past a couple of Burnley defenders to double the Man City lead in 43rd minute. Three minutes later a soft penalty was given as Sergio Aguero went down in the box and got hurt.

Mahrez stepped up to the spot and converted on his second goal of the game to extend the City lead to 3-0. The City onslaught continued after halftime when in the 51st  minute, David Silva received a pass in front of goal that he finished with authority. Manchester City finished the game off as they started it- with a Foden goal. In the 63rd  minute of action Foden received a pass on the left side of goal which he slotted in past Nick Pope’s boots.
