Dave Ellefson Interview

Date: March 10, 2016

Holly interviewed Dave Ellefson the bassist for Megadeth, and the two talk about rejoining Megadeth, production of the new album, and more!

On rejoining the band:
"You know it's been great. Even when I came back in 2010, you could really just feel it through out the metal community. It was a very big thing to be celebrated, you know, Megadeth being such a fan favorite in our genre. Between Dave and I, we reconciled on all fronts and things coming back together, that doesn't always happen in a lot of bands. That was really was something that we certainly were happy about..."

On the production of Dystopia:
"The production of Dystopia, to me, doesn't harken back to any of those early records at all. I mean, those early records, we got through them somehow on such shoestring budgets, and that's not the case today. We have an amazing label, we have all this technology at our disposal to make terrific sounding records, but I think once you get down under the surface, I think what you're hearing is that hunger... and this mentality through the older days."

WSOU would like to thank Dave for taking the time for this interview. Megadeth is playing Terminal 5 in NYC March 16th and 17th!
