Seton Hall big man Angel Delgado will return for his senior year, he announced Monday afternoon via Twitter.

Delgado had initially announced his intentions to leave school and enter the NBA Draft, however after discussions with his family and Head Coach Kevin Willard, Delgado ultimately decided to return for his swan song at The Hall.

"It's very important to my family and me that I finish what I started," Delgado said in a statement on Twitter.

The dominant big man averaged 15.2 PPG and led the nation with 13.1 RPG last season. Delgado finished second in the nation in double-doubles with 27, and also put together a 13-game double-double streak that ranged from January 22nd until March 9th. The 6'9" forward was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and was named an AP All-America Honorable Mention.

"Coming back feels just right," Delgado said on his Twitter page. "I am excited to help make 2018 a special year for Seton Hall!"

Delgado's return adds to an already developed frontcourt for the Pirates. Delgado joins fellow seniors Ismael Sanogo and Desi Rodriguez, and they are helped by reserves such as junior Michael Nzei as well as newcomers Darnell Brodie, Sandro Mamukelashvili and Romaro Gill.

With Delgado back for his senior season, the Pirates are once again in prime position to make a run at the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season.
