The Misfits latest EP was released on June 17, 2016 with four brand new horror-punk anthems written by the founding member Jerry Only. The EP is available in either a CD digipak with a six page booklet, or a limited edition 12-inch color vinyl from Misfit Records.

‘The Original Misfits’ will reunite at Riot Fest for the first time in 33 years.

On May 12, the Misfits’ website announced the headline ‘THEY SAID IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN… The Original Misfits’.

In January, the original singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig and original bassist Jerry Only, had a heated legal meeting, similar to ones they have had since the band split in 1983 in regards to the rights of the band’s name and merchandising. The meeting was either going to end in another legal battle or a reunion, and once the latter was brought to the table the planning rolled out easily.

Danzig and Only will be accompanied by long-time bassist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein this September on the 2nd and 4th in Denver, and then on the 16th and the 18th in Chicago at Riot Fest.

The drummer for the reunion is still unconfirmed, however Only has stated that they have one definite choice in mind."It will blow your mind when I tell you," he told Rolling Stone. "It's pretty crazy. He's one of my favorite drummers, and I've known him for a while."

The only other hint he gave was that it is a “family guy” who has lost positions in bands by preferring to stay home. The drummer is set to start rehearsing with the band in June.
