Brothers, Max and Igor Cavalera, confirmed dates for Sepultura’s upcoming “Roots” tour. The band’s sixth studio album will celebrate its 20 year anniversary with a North American tour.
"Twenty years ago, we released the Roots album and changed the face of metal forever,” Max Cavalera stated. “Now, we're returning to 'the roots' to show everybody the magic and inspiration of the Roots live experience!'”
Debuting at number 27 on the Billboard 200, “Roots” sold over two million records worldwide and received gold certifications for sales in seven countries. The album became a genre expanding for fusing Brazilian tribal music with heavy metal.
The brothers will be joined by Cavalera Conspiracy members Marc Rizzo and Johny Chow. The dates begin in mid-September on the 12th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearby stops include Rochester, NY at Montage Music Hall on September 17 and Philadelphia, PA at Rock Allegiance on September 18.
Fans will have a chance to purchase special meet-and-greet passes from the merchandise booth at Return to Roots shows. The passes allow fans to meet the Cavalera brothers, take a picture with them, and then go home with a signed copy of ‘Roots’ on vinyl, CD, or cassette.
