About: My name is Danielle. I have been listening to WSOU since I was 14 years old. I started working here at 17 years old. It was pretty cool being one of the youngest staff members at one time. WSOU has to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me. It not only introduced me to some of the coolest people ever but definately opened my eyes to a whole new world of music. I love having a good time and laughing. You can always find a smile on my face. :)

I used to live in Illinois, but now I live in jersey. I love many types of music, not just metal, but certainly not rap or country.  I’m a sport management major with a minor in journalism, and hope to someday have a career in the sports media field.

Favorite WSOU Experience: Rapping the E-Town Concrete spot every week with the Brooklyn Dodger when I was her AP

I’ve been a part of WSOU since my sophomore year in 2009 and I’ve loved it ever since. I’m a TV/Film major but I thought radio would be a good experience and the WSOU staff members all seemed really cool, so I signed up. Being at WSOU is the most fun I’ve had throughout my time in college. Working at WSOU has introduced me to a lot of the music that I listen to today.

 The Brooklyn Dodger

Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
Favorite Bands: Dillinger Escape Plan, Folly, Thursday, Sick of it All, Blanks 77, Agnostic Front, Biohazard, Hatebreed, Anything Cavalaras, Chimaira

Going to Yankee games, watching hours of Spongebob like a ten year old, listening to music, being the best bad influence to Dom from Brooklyn and straight up repping

Favorite WSOU Experience: Getting the chance to meet Lou Koller and Armand Majidi of Sick of it all has to be one of my favorites since I am suck a fan of NYHC. The first time I ever dj’ed is one of my favorites too. Going from a fan of the station to working there is probably the best experience to ask for. Another one of my favorite experiences is getting to know the listeners because they are the main reason we are so big and I love getting to talk to them

I started listening to WSOU when I was a mini dodger so now that I work here its surreal. I’m just a hardcore girl from Brooklyn and I try to enjoy my life as much as I can because honestly that’s the only way to live. There are some dj’s who have a license to party however the Brooklyn Dodger is the party.

Favorite Bands: Trivium, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Killswitch Engage, Iron Maiden
Hobbies: Hanging out, watching sports - football, baseball, basketball, hockey, etc.
Favorite WSOU Experience: Since I'm the sports guy around here, no doubt that my top memory was broadcasting basketball at Madison Square Garden (2009 Big East Tournament, SHU vs. South Florida and SHU vs. Syracuse)
About: I've been a member of WSOU Sports since December 2007 but got my DJ credentials in the summer of 2009. Watch out - I'm a dominant competitor in Madden. I haven't lost to any friend (or WSOU staffer) in about a year.

DJ name: Nicole "The Reverse Magnetic Pole"(as chosen by you!)

P-Town (but I'm truly a Wayniac)
Favorite Bands: A Perfect Circle, Black Sabbath, Melvins, In This Moment, Nightwish, Dropkick Murphys, Tool but I'll listen to pretty much anything that shows promise or originality.
Hobbies: Readin', Writin', 'Rithmatic
Favorite WSOU Experience: Reading silly news stories on air, being a Big Buddy to new staffers, and having regular listeners call up.
About: People always ask why I got involved with WSOU in the first place and thats simple- the listeners. I like being able to play what people what to hear and open their minds to songs new and old that they might not know. Also, being on staff is pretty cool because I have gotten to see awesome shows like Arch Enemy, Dragonforce and Dream Theater and people on staff are amazing, hijinks tend to ensue. Plus what else would I do in the middle of the night?

DJ Name: Steve Stracq

Steve T Shirt Merch Shoot
Hometown: Jersey City, NJ
Favorite Bands: Suffocation, Lamb of God, Warbringer, Napalm Death, Black Label Society, Slipknot
Hobbies: Obviously listening to music (more specifically thrash and death metal, but I appreciate all music) being a nerd, baseball, working out (which I need to get back to doing!!!), being really loud and obnoxious and laughing
Favorite WSOU Experience: 1) Getting a bloody nose only 2 minutes into the Mayhem Festival moshing and yelling at the Wiz that I'm still moshing later. 2) Interviewing Karl Sanders of Nile and listening to him yell at his dog Nola for being annoying. 3) The one night Out of Babylon got canceled after Vintage 80's and That Guy and I turned the studio into our own concert. 4) Vintage 80's after-parties Thursday nights at my house during the summer with my roommates and That Guy and the Jackhammer.
About: My name is Steve Stracq, and ever since I was 10 I've been an avid listener of WSOU. You can thank my cousin and his old death metal band for pretty much corrupting me by introducing me to the world of metal at such a young age, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My major has absolutely nothing to do with radio (Biology/Athletic training). After a couple of wrong turns throughout college, I never thought I'd ever be a DJ at WSOU, the place I admired growing up and could always count on. But hey, you never know where life can take you. I don't know how to sit still; I'm very loud and have abnormal amounts of energy at all hours of the day. I'm all about having a good time, and I enjoy doing what I do, and that's entertaining and making people forget about their problems.

Colonel Terror's band also opened for Poison, Slayer, and Wyld Stallionz. Rob Halford of Judas Priest fame also believes him to be the next big thing. No lies. But seriously, Colonel Terror is so metal, a bunch of fistpumpers got in a fight over him wearing a Slayer shirt to one of their clubs.

First time DJing is probably on the top of my WSOU experiences.  It was very awesome being in the captain's chair for the first time.  Playing your favorite songs and playing the songs of all the callers was just a thrill that I won't soon forget.
About: I got my DJ name when I was an AP. It's a play on the old Nintendo 64 game "Jet Force Gemini", it probably suits me because second to being at WSOU, I like to play video games.  I love rock music, and you can probably catch me listening to STP, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Cage the Elephant etc… However, you can also see Jet Force Gemmani banging his head and playing air drums, air guitar and even air cowbell if the occasion calls for it while listening to WSOU!
